I have to go over my exact race stragedies and which ones i will be doing. As it stands now it looks to be that i will be training to win at either devils punchbowl or sisquoc. Im looking forward to seeing weather or not i will have what it takes to get wild and wooly in the sprint at crit practice too. Thats all for now, i opened a flickr account, so this blog will now be more photo-rific. You're stoked, just ask mr. cool ice.....

2 days of intervals in a row...

brootahl with a capital everything. My legs just plain would not do the power that i was supposed to do after the intervals. I would grit my teeth and get it to that point, and i would TRY and hold it there, then 2 seconds later, i was down about 50 watts. So weak. I thought i was gonna die. Much needed recovery tomorrow.

lotsa intervals, in a little time

my new favorite place to do inrvls is the bike path. Today would have been choice to go over there. Definitely will do my sprints there tomorrow. But today i had to do 2x15 minute ss inrvls and 3x6 climbing repeats. I cant do crs on flat ground, and i cant do ss on hillsides.

?

I did my best and the first cr sucked, but the next two were actually pretty spot on, for me anyways. So i was now 43 minutes into my ride and at the top of the sunset loop. In the middle of my second ss inrvl i blasted by my house. Im way closer to my house than i used to be an hour and 10 minutes into that loop. So i weaved in and out of the neighborhoods trying and failing miserably at sticking my numbers, but i was sweating when i was done and felt like i had ridden. It wne by fast when i crammed a bunch of inrvls in a little time. Tomorrow should be stellar. Sprints. I like sprints. I dont think im good at em, but i like to stand up and huck it and weep blood for those 7 or 8 seconds, so that should be fun. I wander if you're allowed to motorpace on the bikepath...?

good one for today...

im definitely deactivated

i effing did it...

Today when we put the helmets on Craig Turner said, "Hey how about the bike path?" to which John Topoleski replies "Thats a great idea" to which i replied in my head, "great, why dont you just say, 'lets drop steve off in the middle of siam'"...

...so bummed...

Went out at an easy pace, nothing serious, then we turned around at the end. Pace was rough, and i was losing my cool, but then it happened. The leaders on the front started to cycle through. Not a paceline like last week in the canyon, the front 2 riders would just fall off the front and the next two would pull through. Mark foyst and i were 3rd in line, then 2nd, then 1st. Pulled for about 10 minutes and mark says to me, "what do you think are you all done" i managed to squeek out "yep" and craig and johnny pulled through. I thought i was going to die, but i didnt get spit out the back. Finished the whole ride, although it was quite evident that the bagel i ate before we left was LONG gone about 4 miles to the end. I made it. Unreal! No drop ever. First time for everything huh?

man dance tomorrow

intervals today were good. Im still not as good at keeping it where i want to keep it, and as a result, i turned what i measured to be a hour and forty-five minute ride into a hour and 2o minute ride. I just get bitter and dont want to try any more. I have to say it was also partially due to the fact that my intensity levels are rising i was able to go that far in such a small amount of time. I swear that loop used to take me an hour and forty five. Anyways i did what i was supposed to do in the time i was supposed to do it in, i was just shy on my total time. Tomorrow should be good. Hope i dont get dropped. lot of moving afterwards, hope i can pimp people to help me out. New place is immense. Im curious as to what i will do with all the space. Im sure i'll figure out somthing...

chris colohan said it best...

sometimes you're good, and sometimes you have fun...

i went out hard today because the intervals said so, and it was hard, i just didnt watch it with an eagle's eye. 2 hours that turned into 3, it was good time to say the least. I was late for my lunch engagement with my father and pastor gabe, and i felt like crap when i realized it and hightailed it back to redlands. I was like 45 minutes late, butt hey were still there, so at least i got to see them. New phone, so if your reading this, send me your phone number. Old one got jacked/lost. G-damn what a bummer. Signed the lease to new place, moving in this weekend. Stoked to have a garage. Its gonna be a total dude domain. Looking forward to it.

i die laughing even if i only chek out this site for a second. Only the ca ones though. The ones with other-than cat material is second rate. srsly.

the man dance

Today i did phenomenal. Well, phenomenal for me anyways. Here's the positive points.

  • i dropped the girl that lapped me at the time trial. That felt bad/good, but she did lap me at the time trial, so i dont feel too bad.
  • i stayed with the group just about the entire way almost. Almost.
  • rode in a paceline for my frist time, ever.
  • pulled through no less than 5 but no more than 10 times, i lost count.
  • Felt totally great
here's the negative points
  • didnt finish through the canyon.
  • gave up when i could no longer pull, however, i dont really know how to do anything other than what i did, but i'll try in the future.
so as you can see the positive outweighs the negative by a fair amount. needless to say im totally wiped and ready for a recovery day tomorrow.

i went ahead and ran anyways after i got home. running for an hour, g-damn what bummer.

off to see sweeny todd or i am legend, 1 of the 2 dont know yet.

not supposed to ride today...

...I didn't really ride today either, or anyways i didnt do the man dance and make a right at victoria. I hate running. I really need to get to a place where i dont. I would just rather lift kettlebells and ride the bike. I figure the combo of the 2 just about makes up for a lack of running.

Today though, i get to chill with bff jace , joshy highland, fellow courage compatriot matt, and my secret crush A.J. Couple clean and jerks and im off to chipotle to meet up with joshy, and i guess we'll prolly leave. Im thinking about picking up a little pissant camera so i can document a little of whats left of my 20's, i only got 2 months of it left. I know what people mean now when they say their 20's were a blur. More on that later i guess.
